In 2005 a gifted writer/director released a historic film that finally ended his enduring sci-fi saga. A film that tied up all the loose ends left dangling from previous chapters. A film that answered every question that fans had.

Yes. Parts of it were very dark. It ended on a downbeat note. Yet it still offered hope for the future.

Today it is regarded as a seminal moment in science fiction cinema. With a brilliant script, fine performances, terrific outer space action sequences – it’s a movie that will be remembered for years to come.

It was the final touch needed to create an overall masterpiece. The completion of a vision.

In 2002 a long awaited sci fi epic from an auteur director was unleashed on the world. It had rocket packs, a dazzling fight in a futuristic factory – and one of John Williams best scores EVER.

Key to it’s success was the charismatic leading man delivering the central performance. I doubt the film would’ve been as great as it was had any other actor played that part.

It’s the role he was born to play. The film he was destined to be in. The perfect meeting of star, director and most of all… script.
