The A-Team – Time for a return!

In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem… if no one else can help… and if you can find them… maybe you can hire… The A-Team.

I bet you can just hear that iconic theme tune in your head right now, can’t you? Continue reading The A-Team – Time for a return!

Star Trek III: The Search For Spock – A Look Back

What’s your favourite Star Trek movie? Seems the traditional answer to that one is Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan. Why not? It’s a great sci fi thriller. Some may answer Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Again, why not? It’s a hugely enjoyable and rousing adventure. Some may answer Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Why shouldn’t they? It’s sci fi that mirrors our own situation. Some may even answer Star Trek: First Contact and that too is a respectable answer. It’s pretty great. Explorers (1985) – A Look Back

OK guys – this one may contain spoilers so approach with caution…

Still here? Cool – LET’S GO!

When I was a kid I loved ExplorersA film about three kids building a spaceship and going to space to meet aliens? BRING IT ON. It really spoke to the burgeoning sci fi fan in me. Made in 1985 – it should be a classic kids adventure which is ranked alongside the likes of E.T The Extra Terrestrial, The Goonies… and probably even Stand By Me.  Continue reading Explorers (1985) – A Look Back

Independence Day Resurgence: THEY GOT IT ALL WRONG!!! WAAAHHH!!!

Oh man… I tell you guys something right now. I LOVED the original Independence Day. I thought (and still do think) that it’s an absolutely wonderful movie. The effects still to this day impress – Goldblum, Smith, Pullman and the rest of the supporting cast were GREAT! Continue reading Independence Day Resurgence: THEY GOT IT ALL WRONG!!! WAAAHHH!!!

Suicide Squad Blu Ray Review: This film REALLY could’ve been better.

You know – I didn’t hate Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. I genuinely thought it deserved better reviews than it got. Still – I was disappointed with it on a few levels. I took some comfort in reminding myself that it was only the second film of the DCEU. Continue reading Suicide Squad Blu Ray Review: This film REALLY could’ve been better.

The Man Who Saved Movies

I’m ChickenStu – The Man Who Saved  Movies!

After years of being a commenter on talkbacks and forums – I’ve decided to go it alone and launch my own blog. We’re gonna talk about movies old and new, TV shows, books, comic books, music and anything related.  The content may seem a little random at first but don’t worry. You’ll get used to it. This is just a place to come and shoot the shit.

It may look a bit amateur right now – but I have a dedicated team of website specialists (or put another way… my wife) working on the design.

If you agree with me great! If you don’t…. still great! That’s what the comment section is for! If you’ve got anything you want to see covered – please let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

When it comes to movies –  2016 is in the toilet. But I  ain’t heard the flush yet.

Right everyone… I’m off now to furiously scribble up the next blog -so I bid you adieu. Great things are coming. For I am ChickenStu – The Man Who Saved Movies.
