There are just some people you think are invincible. That’ll be around forever. I always thought Roger Moore was one of those kind of guys.
He’s probably the first Bond I can remember seeing. Some of my earliest memories are of watching his 007 adventures on the telly.
In 2013 I was lucky enough to attend “An Afternoon With Roger Moore” where he shared tales from his illustrious career. I never got an opportunity to meet the man – but I’ll always be grateful that for just a couple of hours I was in the same room as him.
The copy of his excellent book I got at the event – that also came with his signature will now and forever be one of my favourite possessions.
Despite everything it’s his work for the charity UNICEF that will always be his defining legacy.
The world will be a bit more of a boring place without him. He was one of a kind.

Devastating news. One of the greatest American character actors who ever graced the screen has sadly passed away at the age of 61.
Aliens. True Lies. Titanic. Apollo 13. Weird Science and SO MANY more. This guy was an absolute staple in movies. He passed away yesterday from complications of surgery.
I’ll always remember him for delivering some of the funniest one liners I’ve ever heard in movies. Especially in True Lies where he had me absolutely crying with laughter.
This of course only scratches the surface of this man’s remarkable career.
Please share your memories of Bill Paxton in the talkbacks.
His boyish good looks, laconic charm and superb comic timing will be missed.
There’ll never be another one like him.
